Configure Memory for Claude

Configure Memory is portable memory you own. It keeps the preferences, projects, decisions and facts you choose in one profile, so Claude and the other assistants you connect can use them.

Connect

1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and add Configure Memory (or add the URL above as a custom connector).
2. Choose Sign in now. Claude opens Configure's sign-in page.
3. Sign in with your phone number and the code you receive, then approve access. You return to Claude.

The connector uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. It asks for three permissions: read your profile, search it, and save or delete memories. It never asks for access to your email, calendar, files or any other app.

Read and search never change anything. Saving is additive: it never edits or removes an existing memory. Deleting is permanent, and Claude asks for your approval before it runs.

What Configure receives

Only the inputs of the tool Claude calls:

• the fact or list of facts you asked Claude to save,
• the words Claude searches for,
• the memory you asked Claude to delete.

Configure does not receive your conversations, Claude's own memory, or anything Claude did not send to one of these tools. Memories you bring over from other assistants are imported on configure.dev when you set up your account, not through this connector.

Configure refuses payment card numbers, keys and passwords, and you should not ask Claude to save health details, government IDs or other people's personal information.

Review, edit or delete

Open configure.dev/profile to see every memory, which assistant saved it, and when. From there you can edit or delete any memory, delete your whole profile, or disconnect Claude. Claude can also delete a memory it saved when you ask.

Troubleshooting

What you see	What to do
Claude says it needs you to sign in	Open the connector in Customize, then Connectors, and choose Connect.
A save comes back as already_saved	The same fact is already in your profile. Nothing was duplicated.
A save comes back as refused	The fact looked like a card number, key or password, so it was not stored.
A delete returns a preview instead of deleting	Confirm the preview, and Claude sends the delete.
A delete matches more than 25 memories	Nothing is deleted. Ask Claude to narrow it down or delete specific memories.
